Christmas & Charity of the Year Lunch

6th Dec

Members and their guests are invited to lunch at the Old Hall, Queens’ College

This lunch’s guest speaker is The CBPC’s Charity of the Year, Tom’s Trust, a mental health charity supporting children with brain tumours and their families. Cambridge is at the heart of Tom’s Trust. It is where Tom went to school, where he received treatment after being diagnosed with a brain tumour, and where the charity was founded in 2011. To raise funds for this amazing Charity we are collecting donations for prizes for a Raffle. Please email info@cbpc.co.uk to pledge your donated prize. We will also be holding a Golden Ticket Prize Draw for a 1-night stay with Dinner and Wine at The Varsity Hotel, Cambridge.

Guests will be invited to put £10 (cash) into an envelope that you have written your name and mobile number on. All the envelopes will be collected and the draw made with the winning envelope receiving the Golden Ticket Prize. We are deeply grateful to The Varsity for this very generous prize. And, of course, there’ll be lots more networking in the Eagle pub afterwards!

More About Toms’ Trust…

Tom’s Trust’s clinical psychologists support children, and their families, facing a brain tumour and other central nervous system tumours from the point of diagnosis, providing vital support through their brutal treatment and beyond as they return to life at home. Their team is also there to support a family if their child is dying or has sadly died from this devastating disease. Over the last 13 years the Tom’s Trust’s small but mighty charity has grown and now provides services throughout East Anglia, the Northeast, Northwest, and Thames Valley regions.

Tom’s Trust says “We are indebted to the CBPC and its members who have kindly chosen to support us over the next year. We look forward to working together with you to ensure this vital support continues to be available to children impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis, along with their families.”

The Grand Arcade Car Park which is 5 min walk away.
